Setting Up Your First Business
Introduction
Welcome to Liburion ERP! This guide walks you through the initial setup of your business account. By the end, you'll have a fully configured company profile ready for day-to-day operations.
Before you begin, make sure you've completed the sign-up process and verified your email address. If you haven't done that yet, head to the Get Started page first.
1. Create Your Company Profile
After logging in for the first time, the setup wizard will guide you through creating your company profile. Start by entering your company name, legal entity type, and primary address.
Upload your company logo — this will appear on invoices, quotes, and customer-facing documents. Recommended size is 400x400px in PNG or SVG format.
Set your default currency and fiscal year. These settings affect how financial reports are generated and can be changed later from Settings > Company.
Tip: If you operate in multiple currencies, you can enable multi-currency support in Settings > Accounting after initial setup. Exchange rates are updated automatically.
2. Choose Your Modules
Liburion ERP is modular — you only install what you need. From the Module Marketplace, browse available modules organized by category: Sales, Operations, Finance, HR, Marketing, and Productivity.
For most small businesses, we recommend starting with Sales, Invoicing, and Accounting. You can add Inventory, HR, or Manufacturing modules as your needs grow.
Click 'Install' on any module to activate it. Each module adds new menu items to your sidebar and may prompt you for initial configuration.
3. Invite Your Team
Navigate to Settings > Users & Permissions. Click 'Invite User' and enter their email address. You can assign roles like Administrator, Manager, or User to control access levels.
Each role comes with predefined permissions, but you can customize them. For example, you might want your sales team to create quotes but not approve discounts above a certain threshold.
Invited users receive an email with a link to set up their own account. They'll be guided through a brief onboarding flow tailored to their role.
Tip: Use groups to manage permissions at scale. Create groups like 'Sales Team' or 'Warehouse Staff' and assign permissions to the group instead of individual users.
4. Next Steps
Congratulations — your business is set up! Here's what to do next:
Import your existing data: Upload customers, products, and opening balances from CSV files or connect to your previous system.
Configure your document templates: Customize the look of your invoices, quotes, and purchase orders from Settings > Templates.
Explore the Dashboard: Your home screen shows key metrics, upcoming tasks, and recent activity. Customize it by pinning your most-used widgets.
