Navigating the Dashboard
Introduction
The Dashboard is your command center — the first screen you see when you log in. It provides a real-time snapshot of your business health through customizable widgets and quick-access shortcuts.
1. Understanding the Layout
The dashboard is divided into a top stats bar, a main widget grid, and a right sidebar with recent activity. The stats bar shows your most critical KPIs — revenue, open orders, pending invoices, and team activity.
Widgets are arranged in a responsive grid. Each widget represents data from a module — sales pipeline, inventory levels, cash flow chart, or task list.
Tip: Click and drag widgets to rearrange them. Your layout is saved per user, so each team member can personalize their view.
2. Customizing Widgets
Click the '+' button in the top-right corner to add new widgets. Available widgets depend on which modules you've installed. Popular choices include Revenue Chart, Pipeline Funnel, and Inventory Alerts.
Each widget can be resized (small, medium, large) and configured. For example, the Revenue Chart widget lets you choose the date range and comparison period.
3. Quick Actions & Shortcuts
The action bar below the stats provides one-click access to common tasks: Create Invoice, New Sales Order, Add Product, Log Expense. These shortcuts adapt based on your most-used actions over time.
Use the global search bar (Ctrl+K) to quickly jump to any record, module, or setting. It searches across customers, products, invoices, and more.
4. Dashboard on Mobile
The dashboard is fully responsive. On mobile devices, widgets stack vertically and the sidebar collapses into a bottom drawer. Swipe between widget cards for quick scanning.
Enable push notifications from Settings > Notifications to receive alerts for important events like overdue invoices or low stock levels.
Tip: Pin your most critical widgets first — on mobile, only the top 4 widgets are visible without scrolling.
